What's up, y'all.

I'm Tanya. A mother and artisan that somehow became a cobbler. While looking at a box of my newest shipment of West African wax print fabric and a pair of my kid's ripped Converse *lightbulb* I had an idea & after a few false starts, here we are.....

Mamie Ansah was created as an ode to the matriarchs in my family. 'Mamie' the middle name of my Liberia-born mother who is a descendant of Black American slaves that returned to Africa. 'Ansah' from my native Liberian aunt who taught me so much about life and love. To the creators whose only goal is to spread happiness and share their art. Walk with integrity. Reach back. And share the wealth.
